Holland, Tulip Gardens

HOLLAND, MN

Tulip gardens

You will agree with me when I say that there can be nothing more beautiful to the eye than acres of tulips in a variety of shades and hues. The fields are open two weeks in May and the entry ticket per head is $ 10. You will be given details of the flowers on display. Want to take home some tulips? You can buy bulbs of the plants at the stores in there, in addition to some souvenirs. You can also see people in traditional Dutch clothes, not to forget the making of wooden shoes the Dutch are famous for. Make sure you visit this place if you are here in May. Till then some pictures for you.

Wind Mill Island

As the name suggests, this is a pretty island with a huge windmill surrounded by rows of tulips again. The surroundings when observed from the top of the windmill are breathtaking! Four pairs of Dutch shoes nailed to long wooden rods are worth riding if you want to laugh heart fully. Don’t miss the beautiful carriage driven by horses. These pictures are for you:

Lake Michigan

The placid waters of Lake Michigan invite you on your way back home from Holland!! Think twice before you want to take a plunge as the water is coooold!!! If the cold waters do not appeal to you, here are some pictures then:
